Jr. PROfiles Natalia Sompolvorachai How did you get started playing golf? My parents urged me to play golf because I have potential to be good at playing! Who taught you how to play golf? My dad taught me not only how to play golf, but also everything about golf...literally everything. Who has been the most influential person in your life? My dad is the most influential person in my life. I would say, I am who I am today because he forms me. If you could play any golf course in the world, what would it be and why? I would love to play at the Pebble Beach, CA. I know that even professional golfers say it is a very difficult course, but I would like to take the challenge. What are your favorite clubs in your bag? My 5 iron and my 7 wood. When you are not playing golf, what are you doing? Either reading, practicing on the piano or just simply enjoying myself (with a few favorite toys I have). As a junior golfer, who do you look up to for inspiration? There are so many great professional golfers out there and most of them inspire me, but my dad is the one who I look up to. His determination gives me strength, his dedication gives me inspiration. Do you have any superstitions on the golf course? I have been taught and trained to believe in myself, so I don’t think I have any superstitions on the golf course. What has been your favorite memory so far on the golf course? At Golden tee at Tri-County Golf Course, hole #2, where I hit the ball to the front of the par-3 green. I knocked it in for a birdie. My very best birdie ever.
What do you hope to accomplish as a golfer? I would like to be on a school team all the way to college and eventually be a professional golfer.
